Temporary Change in Consular Operations

2. Visa Exemption Arrangement (Short-term stay)

Japan has taken measures concerning the Visa Exemption Arrangements with 68 countries and regions. Singapore is one of the visa exemption country for 90 days temporary visit. Please click here to check your country.

*Note: Currently, visa exemption measures have been suspended for the time being, as a border measures against novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

3. Required documents for visa application

The required documents are different depending on the purpose of visit.

4. Procedure

Normally, it takes 5 working days for the procedure, however depending on the purpose of visit or the individual situation, the applicants may be requested to submit additional supporting documents and may require to refer the case to MOFA, Japan. In these occasions, the visa approval procedure may take more time. We do not accept requests for same-day issuance nor expedite cases due to the personal reasons.

5. Visa Fee

Payment must be made at collection time and only in CASH. (Personal checks, credit/debit cards and electronic payment are NOT accepted.)
