
Opening Ceremony of Japanese Film Festival 2025
In October, we explored the world of cinema in our annual Japanese Film Festival, as well as the beauty of autumn during the exhibition by Ikebana International Singapore Chapter 135.
Our current exhibition entitled "Time Travel in Ginza Street of Meiji Era – Hyper Edohaku" will run until 7 November. "The Timeless Craftsmanship of Maki-e: Namiki – Past, Present, Future" exhibition celebrating the enduring artistry and innovation of traditional Japanese lacquerware and fountain pens will follow from 15 November. Our Japanese Film Festival 2025 officially started with a spectacular opening ceremony on 1 October 2025 at Golden Village VivoCity, featuring the Singapore premiere of Renoir, a Palme d'Or-nominated film with Singaporean participation and support from the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA).
