Autumn has arrived at JCC, celebrated with the Ikebana exhibition! "Autumn Whisper - a gentle dialogue between season and soul", an exhibition by Ikebana International Singapore Chapter 135, opened on 22 October.
In the opening ceremony, JCC Director Ms Kawabe Akiko and I.I. Singapore Chapter 135 President Ms Anna Kwan welcomed the guests, including those new to the world of ikebana, and expressed their fascination with the beautiful Japanese artform. The ceremony included an exciting double demonstration by Ms Esther Law and Ms Netty Chu from Singapore Sogetsu Association, with insightful and lively commentary by Ms Christina Yew. Both demonstrators showcased two arrangements each, making use of the autumn colour palette to create eye-catching ikebana pieces. The exhibition at JCC, where visitors could experience the fall season, was held from 22 to 25 October 2025. |
