  • 100 volts AC, with two different frequency cycles (Eastern Japan including Tokyo @ 50Hz; Western Japan including Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka @ 60Hz) At major hotels, two outlets for both 110 and 220 volts are installed for electric razors, hair-driers, travel irons, etc. Generally, 2-pin plugs (flat) are used in Japan.
