JCC Artist Talk
An Art Residency in a Ceramic Center in Shigaraki
By Ms. Madhvi Subrahmanian
Japan Creative Centre is proud to present an artist talk by Madhvi Subrahmanian. Having lived in three continents and four countries, Madhvi belongs to a world where change is the only constant. Her work has been as inspired and altered by the challenges of new opportunities as by the limitations brought by new circumstances. Incubation, growth and movement find repeated expression in her works.
Madhvi will share her experiences during her stay in Shigaraki as an Artist in Residence, focusing on Shigaraki, fellow artists in residence at the ceramic center and her personal artistic approach during her residency as well as Japanese creativity.
