Japan Creative Centre has the pleasure to invite the Ikenobo Headmaster-Designate, Ms. Yuki Ikenobo, to come down from Japan and give a lecture and workshop. Ms. Yuki Ikenobo welcomes you to think about the philosophy that lies behind the form of an arrangement, while making your own Ikebana.

NOTE: This workshop will be limited to 20 participants and it will be on the first come first serve basis. This workshop is also only for those who have no prior knowledge and experience in Ikebana.

ABOUT ARTIST: YUKI IKENOBO
As Ikenobo Headmaster Designate, Ms. Yuki Ikenobo promotes Ikebana in Japan and internationally. She has also presented collaborative exhibitions with other genres of art. In focusing on life emphasized through ikebana, she actively participates in programs to promote Japanese culture and has served on panels regarding topics in children’s education. In addition to participating in numerous cultural symposiums, she has been invited to several universities as a guest lecturer to discuss the essence of ikebana.
As Honorary Consul of Iceland, she has contributed to fostering friendship between Japan and Iceland and to promoting Japanese beauty and spirit in foreign countries. In 2013 she conducted a workshop at Harvard University and performed a flower offering ceremony at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
