TWO TREASURE ISLANDS
Ikebana Photo & Flower Exhibition

by Ikebana International Singapore Chapter 135 and Herman Lee

© Ikebana International

TWO TREASURE ISLANDS Exhibition is a floral expression of two fascinating islands, Singapore and Australia, presented by Ikebana International Singapore Chapter 135, Herman Lee and the Japanese Creative Centre.

The beautiful art of Sogetsu, a form of Ikebana, is displayed through floral arrangements by some of the members of Ikebana International, practitioners of this art form. They complement the works of award winning Australian floral artist photographer, Herman Lee, a Sogetsu practitioner for many years.

Although Singapore and Australia are different in many ways such as its culture, weather, floral and landscape, this exhibition is testimony that Ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arrangement, forms a bridge of friendship and understanding between the two islands. It's a perfect floral collaboration between Ikebana International Singapore Chapter and Herman Lee.
