Japan Creative Centre is delighted to present an exhibition titled "A Chain of Changes of Japanese in Calligraphy & Ancient Letters" by Madam Atsuko Osa. For this exhibition, Madam Atsuko Osa will be exhibiting characters, depicting the transition of Japanese letters in calligraphy from 1000 BC to present day as well as Chinese letters from 1000 BC to 200 BC.
For the Lecture and Demonstration, Madam Atsuko Osa will be talking about the history of calligraphy which dates back to 1500 BC and the YIN period.

ABOUT ATSUKO OSA
Born in Tokyo to a Calligrapher father, Mr Seisui Toyoda, Madam Atsuko Osa grew up surrounded by the wonders of the calligraphy world. However, instead of following in her father’s footsteps, Madam Atsuko Osa became a Junior High School teacher. Only upon her retirement from teaching did she decide to pursue calligraphy further. She then travelled to China and studied under acclaimed Professor Kang Yin of Beijing Central Institute of Fine Arts.
Since 1991, Madam Atsuko Osa has exhibited her works in many countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, U.S.A, Argentina, Dubai and many parts of Europe. Her exhibitions in various parts of the world have received positive responses, attracting many viewers.
