In an exclusive event, Japanese virtuoso pianist Ms. Yumeki Ohashi performed classical piano pieces at JCC (Japan Creative Centre) on Tuesday, 14 August 2018 to a full house! Accompanied by violist Ms. Corinna Chang, Ms. Ohashi who is now based in Paris, France came especially to Singapore and performed several popular classical piano pieces with a sense and touch of Japanese nostalgia with short explanations in between.
|
These pieces include ‘Pour le Piano’ by Claude Debussy, ‘Klavier Sonata Op.13 Pathetique 2nd Movement’ by Beethoven, and ‘Teardrop of the Dragon's Eyes’ by Ferdinand Beyer which was re-arranged by Shigeaki Saegusa. Her performance was so fascinating that it ended with loud and prolonged applause. Many of our audiences even continued to stay and interact with Ms. Ohashi after the event.
