In conjunction with the Grand Opening of One Tampines Hub, Japan Creative Centre (JCC), Embassy of Japan in Singapore, was pleased to present the box office hit "your name." on 6 August 2017!
Directed by Makoto Shinkai, this animation film tells the story of two high school students who live in a mountain village and Tokyo respectively, and mysteriously swap bodies each time they sleep. The two fumble about, unaccustomed to each other’s bodies, but start communicating by memo. As they awkwardly overcome one challenge after another, a bond develops between the two - one that evolves into something more romantic. However, more unexpected challenges lie ahead of them. |

There was a full house of 400 movie goers of all ages, including H.E. Ambassador Kenji Shinoda and Madam Yuko Shinoda. Besides collaborating with One Tampines Hub again in the future, we can’t wait to share more Japanese films and treats at different locations around Singapore.
