A third lecture by Dr Lena Okajima on Science through entertainment with shooting stars on demand, also known as In Conversation with Dr Lena Okajima, was conducted at Science Centre Singapore on the morning of Saturday, 25th February 2017. The lecture was opened to all visitors and members of the public for them to learn about Dr Okajima’s project with the objective to enjoy shooting stars whenever and wherever we want, through the launch of satellite and omitting particles to create artificial shooting stars.

Dr Okajima and her team were also interviewed by Science journalist Ms Sandy Lee from Singapore-based Science Spy Magazine before the lecture, allowing more readers especially in the related fields to know more about her project, with the potential of expanding possible collaborations and opportunities outside of Japan. During the lecture, Dr Okajima explained what shooting stars are and its different historical and cultural background around the world, as well as space development and how their project contributes not only for entertainment, but also to the advancement and research of space in general and our understanding towards shooting stars.
