The fourth and last lecture by Dr Lena Okajima on Science through entertainment with shooting stars on demand was conducted at JCC (Japan Creative Centre) on the afternoon of Saturday, 25th February 2017. The lecture reached out to members of the public and Japanese-culture lovers for them to learn about Dr Okajima’s project with the objective to enjoy shooting stars whenever and wherever we want, through the launch of satellite and omitting particles to create artificial shooting stars.

Similar to the previous lectures, Dr Okajima explained what shooting stars are and its different historical and cultural background around the world, as well as space development and how their project contributes not only for entertainment, but also to the advancement and research of space in general and our understanding towards shooting stars. Following which, several key questions were raised during the Q&A session which offered valuable suggestions and new insights to her project, and guests also had the opportunity to see the sample shooting stars particles, satellite parts, and a simulation screen that illustrates the orbiting of the satellite and shooting stars particles.

During her 4-day stay in Singapore, she attended Space Conference and met with several space and science related personnel as well, to promote her project and explore possible collaborations and opportunities.
