Director's Message

The tropical climate is one of the many aspects I enjoy about this garden city. We are often experiencing thundery showers, abundant rainfall and high humidity. Despite such weather conditions, many of you have and are still making your way to our little bungalow in the heart of Orchard Road and I am absolutely appreciative of your kind support.

In February, we had a hand in the Japan Media Arts Festival Special Exhibition, Chingay 2017, Visit Tohoku Seminar, a three day Tohoku exhibition and a talk on artificial shooting stars by Dr Lena Okajima. These collaborations of different spectrums have brought many Singaporeans and Japanese together, participating in the same cause.

The first of this month, our centre together with Sports Hub Singapore and Japan’s international rugby team Sunwolves organised a ‘Super Rugby Night 2017’. The event brought together Sunwolves fans in Singapore, bidding them good luck for their game, which I thoroughly enjoyed on Saturday, 4th March 2017. The team will be playing once again on Sunday, 25th March, so let us come together and cheer for them at the Singapore Sports Hub. Gambare Sunwolves!

We will also have a Judo lecture at the end of this month so sports fans, be sure to take note!

See you soon,
