Co-hosted by Japanese University Graduates Association of Singapore (JUGAS) and Japan Creative Centre (JCC), Embassy of Japan in Singapore, the 2018 Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship Briefing Session was held at JCC on 10 June 2017. This event was held to provide students with the necessary information for applying for the Japanese government scholarship (MEXT Scholarship) as well as studying in a Japanese university. A second session was added due to the overwhelming response, and a total of 203 people attended this event.

To give the event participants a better understanding about studying in Japan, Mr Yee Jenn En, the President of Singapore JUGAS, together with MEXT scholarship recipients Ms Han Lilin and Mr Low Hong Ee, were invited to share their experience. Mr Masanori Kawabata, 2nd Secretary, Embassy of Japan in Singapore, also explained the outline of MEXT Scholarship.

Guests who visited JCC from 10am - 6pm were also able to pick up available brochures from various Japanese universities, and also had the opportunity to speak directly to a university representative from the several consultation booths which were set-up.
