We had a positive response for our weekday JCC Cinema 53 at Japan Creative Centre on Tuesday, 24th January 2017. Thermae Romae is a Japanese comedy which tells the story of a Roman bath architect accidentally time-travelling to modern Japan. He meets an aspiring manga artist, and is inspired by the innovations found in modern Japan to create his own spa in ancient Rome.

Based on Mari Yamazaki’s hit manga and the idea of public baths starring Hiroshi Abe and Aya Ueto, the entertaining movie was well-received with positive feedback from the audience. Be sure to catch our next JCC Cinema!
