Japan Creative Centre (JCC) held a lecture by Prof Dr Iwasaki Naoko on 26 March, where she presented about the various challenges associated with an aged society, as well as the digital solutions found in Japan that address these challenges. Mr Hotta Toru, Deputy Chief of Mission, greeted the audience, highlighting how Singapore is also experiencing rapid population ageing and noting the potential of the collaboration between both countries for creating a vibrant aged society.
The event was attended by public officers on digitalisation and social welfare, members of the healthcare and nursing care industry and the public. It was concluded with a networking reception, where many of the audience members enjoyed socialising with each other, and approached Dr Iwasaki for further discussion.
