Ambassador Yamanaka delivered welcome remarks at the opening of the Roundtable Discussion on The Fukuda Doctrine and the Future of Japan-Southeast Asian Relations on 3 November 2007 at Shangri-La Hotel. In his remarks, Ambassador Yamanaka stressed that the three pillars of the Fukuda Doctrine have remained the basis of Japan�fs foreign policy for Southeast Asia to this day, and Japan will continue to support ASEAN�fs efforts for its integration. The Conference was jointly organized by the East Asian Institute and the Japan Institute of International Affairs |
