Dr Sen Genshitsu, Daisosho (Former Grand Master XV of Chado Urasenke), visited Singapore from 10th (Tue.) to 14th (Sat.) March.
During his stay, he graced the official opening ceremony of the new tea room of Chado Urasenke Tankokai Singapore Association, paid a courtesy call to President H.E. Mr Nathan and presented a lecture for students and the public. He actively introduced and taught Chado, a traditional Japanese art, at the various occasions as mentioned above.

Dr Sen has made tremendous contributions internationally in the academic field (at University of Hawaii, Columbia, University, etc.). He is also widely known as a global-minded promoter of the Way of Tea and of World Peace. Since September 2005, he has been serving in his role as Japan-U.N. Goodwill Ambassador, a position he was appointed to by the Japanese Government. |
