Commemorative Ceremony for "Welcoming the TANUKI (Raccoon Dogs)"

 
  On 22th of April, 2010, a ceremony was held to commemorate the gift of TANUKI (Raccoon dogs) from Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido to Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS), which runs the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari. This gift is the first step of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Asahiyama Zoo and WRS in March, 2009.

Speech by Amabassador Yamanaka

As a guest of honor at the ceremony, Ambassador Makoto Yamanaka delivered a congratulatory address on the gift, followed by the presentation of a congratulatory message from Mr. Masahito Nishikawa, Mayor of Asahikawa City in Hokkaido.
