|The 16th Singapore-Kagoshima Conference Evening Reception, hosted by Governor of Kagoshima Prefecture, Mr. Yuichiro ITO, was held at Japanese
Association, Singapore on 17th January 2012.
Since the “1st Singapore-Kagoshima Conference” held in 1982, Singapore and Kagoshima have been cooperating in many areas such as sightseeing, culture and youth exchange for 30 years.
|At the reception, Mr Yuichiro Ito, Governor of Kagoshima Prefecture, Mr. Sam Tan, Senior Parliamentary Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Yoichi Suzuki, Ambassador of Japan to Singapore, expressed their remarks respectively. In his remarks, Ambassador Suzuki mentioned that the Embassy will support exchanges between local Governments in Japan and Singapore and the case of Kagoshima could serve as a useful model.
