	シンガポール国際水週間2010においてネットワーキングイベントを開催－水ビジネスでの日本企業・団体の活動を支援－
	6月30日（水）、シンガポール国際水週間2010（Singapore International Water Week 2010：SIWW2010）において、Networking Reception under TEAM WATER JAPANを開催しました（開催概要は別記をご参照ください。）。国内外で水問題･水ビジネスに対する関心が高まっています。我が国では、本年６月に閣議決定された「新成長戦略」において、水ビジネスをはじめとするインフラビジネスに積極的に進出していくことが明記されています。一方、シンガポールは、NEWaterなどの成功により世界各国から注目を集めており、SIWWには水問題に関する高官や水ビジネス関係者が多く参加し、年々、その規模は拡大しており、注目度も高くなってきています。今回のイベントは、このような機会を捉え、我が国の水分野における産官学の連携の旗印である「チーム水・日本」の下、日本の企業･団体の海外での活動を支援するために開催したものです。山中大使による挨拶会場内ではメディアによる取材も行われた。		レセプション全景ペットボトル詰めの水道水の配布（写真は大阪市水道局の水道水『ほんまや』の配布。）。会場には、内外の官民関係者230名以上が来場しました（※昨年の同様のイベントの1.5倍。）。会場では、日本企業・団体の最新技術･製品が紹介されるとともに、積極的な意見交換・ネットワーキングが行われました。また、来場者には、お帰りの際、「チーム水・日本」や「日本パビリオン」を紹介するパンフレットや、東京都水道局又は大阪市水道局のペットボトル詰めの水道水の入った袋をお渡しし、日本の取組への理解をさらに深めていただけるようにしました。今回のイベントが、水ビジネスにおける日本の国際展開に寄与することを願っております。大使館では、今後も、このような機会を通じて、日本の企業･団体の活動を積極的に支援していきたいと考えております。

Welcome to the Networking Reception under TEAM WATER JAPAN. This special event is organised by the Embassy of Japan in Singapore, in cooperation with JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), GCUS (Global Centre for Urban Sanitation, Japan) and GWRA (Global Water Recycling and Reuse System Association, Japan). We are very proud to host this event on the occasion of the Singapore International Water Week 2010. Water is one of the key elements for growth strategy, not only for developing countries, but also for developed countries. The Japanese Government, on its part announced two weeks ago its New Growth Strategy. This Strategy advocates large-scale infrastructure building projects including water supply and water management: the area which Japan has high level of technology and know-how. Japan’s new growth strategy also calls for public-private partnerships between government and industry to take up water infrastructure projects. And it is for this reason that we are organising this special networking event under the title of “Team Water Japan”, the all-Japan framework for our joint efforts. Today, we see a gathering of more than 200 people, government officials, businessmen and professionals, from all over the world. I hope this event will serve as a platform for all of you to explore new frontier and forge new collaborations and partnership in the coming years. Finally, no Japanese reception can go without Japanese hospitality. That is why we are serving sushi, sake and shochu from Japan to ease your exchange and networking today.
