The MOELC 27th Annual Prize Presentation Ceremony

On 29th May, Ambassador Yamanaka attended the 27th Annual Prize Presentation Ceremony held at the Ministry of Education Language Centre. After hearing the presentation on MOELC’s activities, Ambassador Yamanaka presented the Japanese Ambassador’s Cup to Mr. Ng Chun Poh who was the best student in the Japanese language course this year. Mr. Ng gave his Valedictory Speech during which he shared his interest about learning the Japanese language.

After the Prize Presentation Ceremony, Ambassador Yamanaka gave an address to commend and encourage the prize winners and Japanese language teachers.

The Ministry of Education Language Centre provides opportunities for students who excelled in the PSLE to learn one of the following languages: Japanese, French, German, Malay, Indonesian or Arabic, as a 3rd language. The Japanese language is the most popular language course taken at the centre and about 1200 students are currently learning the language.
