2017 Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarship - Undergraduate Students




This is a scholarship offered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to international students who wish to study at Japanese universities as undergraduate students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program for 2017.

Application deadline: 14th July 2016 (Thursday) (Closed)

Please be reminded to submit certified true copies of your transcript and educational certificates. You can approach the issuing authority or a lawyer's office to carry out the procedure. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Primary screenings will be conducted by the Embassy of Japan as follows:
  • 1st Round - Documents Screening
    Results will be notified by email on 21st July 2016 (Thursday)
  • 2nd Round - Written Examinations

    27th July 2016 (Wednesday) - Natural Sciences A, B and C majors
    28th July 2016 (Thursday) - Social Sciences and Humanities A & B majors
  • 3rd Round - Interviews
    (Venue: Embassy of Japan, 16 Nassim Road, Singapore 258390)
    2nd August 2016 (Tuesday) - Natural Sciences A, B and C majors
    3rd August 2016 (Wednesday) - Social Sciences and Humanities A & B majors
