Japan Creative Centre (JCC), Embassy of Japan in Singapore is pleased to present 感0 – KANZERO, an exhibition by renown Japanese artist wataboku. Curated by Yoichi Nakamuta, the works in this exhibition depict the characteristics and attitude of a nostalgic girl in the image of a high-school student in her uniform. Adolescence is a period during which each person is struggling with immense power and vulnerability; they chase experiences, dreams, and disappointments on a journey of self-discovery. Wataboku’s artworks portray memories of this time, and draws similarities between South East Asian and Japanese society.

There will also be collaborations with fellow artists Muju Monster (Singapore) and Shigeki Kobayashi (Japan) as part of wataboku’s Singapore stop; aspiring digital artists will get a chance to hear about opportunities in the digital technology and design industry, as well as view wataboku’s works brought to life as exclusive figurines.
