The Japan Creative Centre (JCC), Embassy of Japan in Singapore, and T.A.G. Gallery are proud to present an exhibition showcasing more than 20 unique glassware creations of 7 artists. All of the 7 artists are connected to Toyama City in one way or another, be it their birthplace, or related to their study or work experience. So be sure to drop by JCC to personally see their creative artworks.

These works will be on display at Art Stage Singapore 2019 from 24 - 27 January 2019. Other works by the artists will also be on display at Mizuma Gallery Singapore from 12 - 31 January 2019.

About the Exhibition

© Takashi Komiya

This exhibition features works by 7 chosen artists from the Art Fair Toyama 2018 Art Award contest, most of whom won awards. The contest was a joint project with Toyama City, various sponsors and art dealers, in order to showcase artists who are related to Toyama. These artists not only include those who are already accomplished, but also up-and-coming talents, all of whom have promising futures. While there has been great support to promote such artists within Japan since 2011, starting in 2019 efforts are now being made in order to support these artists' dreams and aspirations beyond Japan and overseas.
