Japan Creative Centre (JCC)

The Embassy of Japan in Singapore - Japan Creative Centre (JCC) is proud to present its first Sports related Talk Session for the SJ50 year 2016 entitled: "Japanese Football in the World of Singaporean Football" by three distinctive speakers.

Mr Daisuke Korenaga (CEO of Albirex Singapore), Mr Koh Mui Tee (General Manager of Albirex Singapore) and Mr Zainudin Nordin (President of the Football Association of Singapore) will be sharing about the interesting aspects of Japanese and Singaporean Football collaboration, the advantages and disadvantages of bringing Albirex Niigata in S League and the skills that can be learnt from each other.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS


Mr Zainudin Nordin was the Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC from 2001 to 2015. During this time, he held many different appointments including that of the Mayor of the Central Singapore District; the Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) for Manpower; and the Chairman of the Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council.

Mr Zainudin has been actively involved in football since 2002 and was elected as the President of the FAS in 2009. Currently he is serving his third term, he leads and directs the strategic development of football in Singapore. He had launched the 5-year Strategic Plan that aims to strengthen the foundation of football development at all levels.

Throughout his career, Mr Zainudin has been continuously looking for new ideas, systems and technology to improve processes and efficiency of organisation and teams.

Mr Daisuke Korenaga
was born in 1977. After graduating from Nihon University, he worked in an IT Firm and was involved in Soccer Media Projects such as World Soccer Info payable media.

Mr Korenaga has travelled all over the world as a Soccer Journalist and managed to strike business deals with football teams such as FC Barcelona, Manchester United and Liverpool.

In 2008, he became the CEO of Albirex Niigata Singapore, where he successfully reformed and turned the team around.

Mr Koh Mui Tee is the General Manager at Albirex Niigata Football Club (Singapore).  He has been in the football industry for 12 years.

Mr Koh has extensive experience in managing the club operations including the marketing, finance and human resource. In addition, he is involved in matters relating to the media, competition and internal team issues. 

He plays an advisor role to the Management Committee with regards to future directions, he oversees and implements the strategic plans set by the Committee for the Club.
