The Embassy of Japan in Singapore - Japan Creative Centre (JCC) and ASTROSCALE (Singapore-based private Space Company) are proud to present the first Science & Technology Event for 2016 which is a Lecture entitled: "How Business is Taking the Innovation in Space to the Next Level" by Mr Nobu Okada.

Do you know the latest Space Science & Technology? Satellites are widely used and have become an essential tool in the social infrastructure in terms of communications, navigation, and weather observation. Singapore launched its first made commercial earth observation satellite (TeLEOS-1) in India on 16th December 2015 together with five satellites.

Space activities are approaching a new paradigm where participation from the private sector is increasing. Mr. Nobu Okada, the CEO of ASTROSCALE, will be explaining the possibilities for expanding space startups in Asia from the Japanese science and technology perspective.

In addition, he will be also explaining more on the space debris issue, which has become a growing threat for the future space development. As the need for government, commercial and legal communities involvement to develop a realistic long-term space management policy is critical, as a Singapore based company. Mr. Nobu will share on how ASTROSCALE is coping with this issue.
