Join us online for a workshop by a popular manga artist Evangeline Neo from Evacomics, where you get to learn all about manga, as well as getting to learn to design and draw a character yourself!

Note before registering


A PDF document with the workshop materials will be sent to participants closer to the event date. Please print out a copy of the PDF before the workshop as it will be used during the workshop. Participants will have to prepare their own stationery (such as pencils, pens, markers, erasers/liquid paper and sharpeners).

If you do not have a printer at home, JCC is able to provide printed copies of the PDF file. Upon successful registration, kindly physically collect the print-outs from JCC during the date/time you have chosen on the registration form. We are unable to accomodate other collection timings other than the ones listed below. Kindly only register if you can collect during these timings:

Please show the confirmation email to our staff when you arrive at JCC: 4 Nassim Road, S(258372). Those who have collected their PDFs will receive a confirmation email from JCC nearer to the workshop date with instructions on how to join the online workshop.

About the artist



© Evangeline Neo

Evangeline Neo is one of the best-known comic artists in Southeast Asia. Born and raised in Singapore, her work won her a scholarship to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in animation and visual effects at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco; she also has an MBA from Waseda University in Tokyo.

Evangeline has been drawing webcomics since 2007 and has published books that have gained her a wide international following, including “Eva, Kopi and Matcha” and “Eva Goes Solo”. The latest title, “A Manga Lover’s Tokyo Travel Guide”, won a Bronze award in the Travel-Guidebook category for IPPY (Independent Publisher Book Awards) in 2020. Besides a passion for Japanese culture and food, her hobbies include yoga, hiking, traveling, and Chinese Metaphysics.
