Japan Creative Centre (JCC), Embassy of Japan in Singapore, and KOSÉ will be conducting a special talk event that will introduce the whitening effect of Kojic Acid and its applications to whitening cosmetics. Senior Researcher Mr Ken Inomata, Ph. D. from KOSÉ Corporation’s Research Laboratories and Ms Brenda Goh, Marketing Manager at KOSÉ Singapore Pte Ltd will share information about what Kojic Acid is and how it is developed into KOSÉ’s products.

As Kojic Acid can be found in Japanese Sake, Ms Maria Luisa Satoh, an expert on Japanese Sake from Orihara Pte Ltd will share with participants the role of sake in producing Kojic Acid. There will also be sake tastings during the talk as well.

About the Speakers

Ken Inomata, Ph.D. is a Senior Researcher at KOSÉ Corporation's Dermatology and Cosmeceutical Research Laboratories.

He joined KOSÉ Corporation in 1999 and is currently engaged in the development of cosmetic active ingredients by applying the results of dermatological research into products. He obtained a Ph.D with his research on grey hair mechanism, focusing on stem cells in 2009 and he also specialises in skin aging research.

Brenda Goh is a Marketing Manager at KOSÉ Singapore Pte Ltd.

Maria Luisa Satoh has 14 years of experience in sake education conducting sake seminars, events, and sake food pairings.

She attended the oldest sake school in Japan, the Food and Beverage Specialists Organisation Academy (料飲専門家団体連合会) and attained a certificate in Japanese known as the Nihon Kikisakeshi (日本利き酒師), International Sake Sommelier Certificate and Shochu Navigator/Shochu Adviser Certificate.

She currently works at Orihara Pte Ltd as a Senior Sales and Marketing Manager, In-house Sake Sommelier, Sake Adviser and Food and Beverage Navigator, and was one of the judgess for The Bar Awards 2018 in Singapore.
