About the Universities

Nanzan University (南山大学) is a private, co-educational University located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Nanzan is part of Nanzan Gakuen, an educational complex of three high schools, a women's junior college and the university itself.

From modest beginnings as a College of Foreign Languages in 1946, Nanzan took the small step to a single Faculty of Arts and Letters in 1949 and has since grown into a fully-fledged university with a worldwide reputation for academic excellence and is considered to be one of the most prestigious private universities in Central Japan.

International Christian University (国際基督教大学) is a private university located in Mitaka, Tokyo, Japan. Commonly known as ICU, the university was founded in 1949. The university is considered to be the most prestigious Liberal Arts College in Japan and is unique for being a fully bilingual campus.

Sophia University led the move to internationalization in Japan, providing study and educational opportunities that take an increasingly complex world into account.
