Singapore is experiencing rapid population ageing, and by 2030, it is projected that about one in four citizens will be 65 or older. This raises various challenges associated with an ageing society, including ensuring quality of life, providing welfare services such as healthcare and nursing care, and fostering communities that give people a sense of purpose.

This seminar will explore how digital solutions can address these challenges, using Japan as a case study — a country where one in four citizens was aged 65 or older in 2013, making it one of the most aged societies among major countries.

This event is part of the official celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Japan (SJ60).
