While you may have tasted Japanese sake before, have you ever wondered about the various types as well as the difference in tastes? Join us at Japan Creative Centre (JCC) as Ms Machiko Yamauchi introduces more about two types of Japanese sake: junmai and ginjo. This seminar is suitable for people who are new to Japanese sake. You will also be able to sample these Japanese sake, and hopefully discover which one is your favourite type.

Ms Machiko Yamauchi is a representative of vis-à-vis Kobe, as well as the secretary general of Japan Gastronomy Club. She has earned Sake Diploma, recognised by the Japan Sommelier Association.

She is the coordinator of the very popular "Yamada Nishiki Terroir Tour", and planned the Yamada Nishiki Premium Japanese Sake Bar which was held in Hyogo, as well as Tokyo. In the International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2016, she was also the overall coordinator for Yamada Nishiki events in the Sake Division. Yamada Nishiki is a short grain Japanese rice, which is well-known for its use in high quality sake.

Ms Machiko Yamauchi also gives lectures during events such as Nadagogo Brewers Association Nada Sake Research Group, Yamada Nishiki Manufacturer Convention in Hyogo, and Japanese sake seminars.
