About the Event

Backed by government action to remove regulatory bottlenecks for asset managers and other investment professionals, Japan is now changing in significant ways to enhance operational resilience of Asian financial system.

The Japanese government now has launched a company setup support programme, amended tax policy, and revised resident-status requirement.

In this webinar, together with the long-term market potential for asset managers and investment professionals, the latest commitments by the Japanese government to assets managers and related businesses are going to be shared with you. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have.

About the Speakers

Mr. Yusuke ARAI, Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister of Embassy of Japan in Singapore, will make a welcome remark to all participants, asset managers and investment professionals in Singapore.

Mr. Takahiro YAMAKAWA, Deputy Director of the Strategy Development Division, Financial Services Agency, will discuss the long-term potential of financial market of Japan and a comprehensive explanation of the government’s plans such as employing tax policy, regulatory policy, resident-status changes, and company setup-support/information sharing schemes.

Ms. Yuko TAKAISHI, Deputy Director of the Strategy Development Division, Financial Services Agency, will introduce the details of the newly launched “Financial Start-up Support Program”, which will provide corporate & business set-up for newly entering foreign asset managers, free of charge, with the partnership of Tricor Japan.
