ABOUT THE COMPANY

© SUZUMO

SUZUMO started off as a confectionary equipment manufacturer in 1961. They began developing a machine that would automatically form sushi rice into balls (nigiri) in 1976 and went on to create the world’s first sushi robot in 1981. It subsequently came up with a variety of sushi robots that can create different rice forms and also become a key driver in popularising conveyor-belt sushi restaurants. In 2015, the company setup a branch office in Singapore to further support the sushi industry and raise awareness about the wonders of Japanese food culture throughout the ASEAN region.
