About the performers |
Yunosuke Yamamoto was brought up in a family where both parents were composers, and he was taught piano and song composing from early age. He now actively performs as a soloist in cello and as a conductor. He completed his graduate (master) degree from Tokyo University of Art after finishing undergraduate from same university. He has served as a instructor for Tokyo University of the Arts, and was the cellist for Halley String Quartet, principal cellist for Geidai Philharmonia, and principal cellist for Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Since June 2011, he was the Principle Conductor of Tokyo New Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also conducted for Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, Kyoto Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic. He has guided many youth orchestras and amateur orchestras. He has extended his work beyond classical music and has been active in the composition of songs for animation and plays.

Kyoko Koyama was admitted to Chopin Academy after being awarded scholarship by the Ministry of Culture of Poland. After graduation from Chopin Academy, she was admitted to University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. Upon graduating with "highest honour", she continued and completed Master class. She was the recipient of numerous awards including second place (note: there was no first place) in "Maria Canals" Barcelona International Musical Execution Competition in Spain, first place in Finale Ligure International Piano Competition in Italy, second place and gold medal in « Rina Sala Gallo » International Piano Competition.in Monza, Italy. She has performed recitals and with orchestras extensively in Japan and different parts of the world. She has also performed in radio and TV programmes.

Mr Yunosuke Yamamoto and Ms Kyoko Koyama will perform well-known classical pieces and songs such as "Hana", "Bunraku" and "Japanese Four Seasons Medley", as well as popular movie soundtracks including Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Departures, and Laputa: Castle in the Sky. |
