The professor will be sharing about the development and application of generative AI and its future perspectives, including how generative AI can be used in both business and our everyday life.

Dr Yutaka Matsuo is a professor of Research Into Artifacts, Centre for Engineering (RACE) at the Department of Technology Management for Innovation at the University of Tokyo, working on artificial intelligence (AI) with focus on deep learning and web mining. He received his Ph.D from the University of Tokyo in 2002 and was a visiting scholar at Stanford University from 2005 to 2007. Dr Matsuo was also a visiting associate professor at National University of Singapore between 2005 and 2007.

A pioneer and prominent researcher in the field of AI in Japan, he currently serves as the Chairman of the Japan Deep Learning Association (JDLA), a member of the Board of Directors of SoftBank Group Corp and Senior Advisor to YCP Holdings, a Singapore-based management service corporation.
