Film Synopsis

A single salaryman father (Watanabe Toshimi) had been making bento boxes (lunch boxes) for his teenage daughter Midori (Takeda Rena) during her high school days for 3 years. During her high school graduation day in her final bento box, she found a photo of the first lunch box her dad has made, along with a handwritten letter from her Dad…

The film is a true story based on a single Twitter feed that went viral in Japan, shared by a daughter on her last day of high school with photos of the first and final lunch boxes, together with a sweet letter of thanks to her dad for looking after her so well. It has been retweeted more than 80,000 times and garnered over 260,000 'likes'.
