NIHON BUYO

INTRINSIC ELEGANCE OF JAPANESE DANCE

The origin of Nihon Buyo (Japanese Dance) can be traced back to the 8th century. Through history, it has been developed into various refined forms closely linked with important Japanese traditional performing arts such as Kagura, Noh, Kabuki and Bunraku.

Master NISHIKAWA Minosuke with his troupe will introduce the essence of Nihon Buyo through two public performances and a talk with demonstration. Two well-known Nihon Buyo plays entitled “Suisen-Tanzen” and “Tomoyakko” will be performed on each night.

Principle Performers: Mr. NISHIKAWA Minosuke and Ms. HANAYAGI Seira.
