The Opening Ceremony of Elegance in Clay and Flora: Japanese Ceramics and Singaporean Ikebana Expressions was successfully held on the evening of Tuesday, 6 August 2024 at JCC. It is a group exhibition featuring the works of four contemporary Japanese ceramic artists alongside the floral designs by members of Ikebana International Singapore Chapter 135.

JCC Deputy Director Mr Yuki Hamada firstly presented a speech to welcome the guests and kick-start the ceremony, and this was followed by remarks from our exhibition co-organisers, Dialogue Gallery Director Mr Ken Ushijima and II President Ms Anna Kwan. One of the artists, Ms Mari Yoshimura, was also present and spoke about her artistic journey and the inspirations behind her artworks.

The exhibition was held at JCC from 5 - 10 August 2024.
