Japanese High Speed Rail (Shinkansen) Panel Display

A Japanese High Speed Rail (Shinkansen) Panel Display was held at JCC (Japan Creative Centre) for the second time from 16 to 30 August 2016. These panels, which showcased the latest and updated information about Shinkansen and other High Speed Rails, were part of the 2nd High Speed Rail Symposium in Singapore, which was held recently on 22 July 2016 at Grand Hyatt Singapore.

The symposium was organised by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan Railway Techinical Service (JARTS) and Japan Overseas Railway System Association (JORSA).


It featured several presentations on the Shinkansen train model. Mr Keiichi Ishii, Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan and Ms Josephine Teo, Senior Minister of State for Ministry of Transport of Singapore, alongside with about 300 leaders and members of the Japanese, Singapore and regional transport community attended the symposium, including companies and government officials.

The panels not only display about information and the latest model of the Japanese High Speed Rail, but also an overview picture of the upcoming High-Speed Rail (HSR) between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, as well as other High Speed Rails in the world that uses Japanese technology and system.
