Kirie Butterfly Hairpin Workshop by Tan Shu Ying @ JCC


During the start of the workshop.
Singaporean artist Ms Tan Shu Ying conducted workshop at JCC (Japan Creative Centre) on 15 September 2018 (Saturday), in which participants had the chance to cut and create their very own kirie butterfly hairpin using washi. Ms Shu Ying makes creative accessories such as butterfly hairpins and earrings folded in origami style using yuzen washi, and her works were on display during JCC’s recent exhibition – ‘Beauty and Diversity of Japanese Washi Paper ~ Traditional Paper Dolls and Contemporary Washi Products’.
