Konnichiwa!
What a special week we had in Singapore!
Starting from a world premier Listen to Haruki Murakami: Music Beyond Words concert at Victoria Theatre on 28th and 29th October, to a striking and memorable theatrical drama Kafka on the Shore produced by world-renowned director Yukio Ninagawa based on Haruki Murakami at Esplanade from 30th October to 1st November, followed by a series of wonderful talk sessions during the Singapore Writers Festival with five speakers at the Arts House on 31st October to 1st November, we have been fully immersed in the world of Haruki.
With Haruki’s books being well-read globally and often ranked at the Top 10’s bestseller chart in leading newspapers, it is one of my passions since the day I arrived in Singapore a year ago to showcase this internationally acclaimed author here!
Although all the wonderful events are over, for those who have missed the opportunity to catch them, rest assured that his books are always available at bookstores, libraries and online in more than 50 different languages translated in the world. Please rediscover the joy of reading and the world of Haruki Murakami!
See you soon!
