Konnichiwa!
While the year is drawing to a close, we are gearing up to welcome you back to our JCC events in a safe and secure environment. For starters, those interested in the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Programme should not miss out on our online sharing sessions on 5 and 24 November 2020! I am sure that hearing first-hand accounts from JETAA (Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme Alumni Association) Singapore members will give people a clearer picture on what to expect from this unique programme.
As announced previously, we have started posting articles about Japan’s prefectures on our Facebook page, be it about food, nature, festivals, or even language. We chose Aomori prefecture to be in the spotlight first, and we trust that everyone has been enjoying our feature posts and learning something new every week! As much of the information was shared by our fellow Japanese diplomat who comes from Aomori, we hope that this insider’s perspective proved interesting for our readers. Can anyone guess what prefecture we plan to showcase next?
Besides that, the first of our “Kizuna Stories” also went up on our JCC Facebook, Instagram, and this month’s E-Magazine. We are very pleased to be able to share Mr Yuichiro Kubo’s 25 year experience in Singapore, covering both his work and family life. JCC’s goals include strengthening the friendship between Singapore and Japan, all the way to the individual level. By featuring the stories of such people who contribute to this, we hope that everyone will gain a new perspective.
As for our upcoming JCC events and other intriguing articles about Japan, do stay tuned to our Facebook page to stay up-to-date. We also have an Instagram page (@japancreativecentre) where we post exclusive and informative series. Remember to also follow the Embassy of Japan in Singapore on Facebook to stay connected with us. Until we see you again at JCC, do continue to stay safe!
