JCC held two sessions of Shinkansen Handcraft Workshop on Saturday, 22nd April to an overwhelming crowd. During an hour long workshop, participants of all ages had great fun in creating detailed paper models of shinkansen trains, particularly Dr Yellow and Nozomi kindly sponsored by JR West. They also received a ChoroQ miniature toy train as a door gift. Chief Representative of Singapore Representative Office of JR West, Mr Shosaku Higashino, and Mr Fukuda were also present to answer JR West and Shinkasen-related enquiries to the participants.

The participants were also wowed by the massive railway system diorama currently displayed at our centre featuring numerous shinkasen and train models. Besides this, JR East also put up a JAPAN RAIL CAFE Salon-style exhibition featuring panels and Japan Rail Times, and people had the opportunity to try on their uniform of the station master. There were also posters of Japanese landscape in summer, as well as miniature ANA and JAL airplane models on display. The exhibition is on from 19th April till 11th May.
