For the first time, our monthly JCC Cinema was held at ITE College Central on 21st April 2017. Directed by Shinkai Makoto, who also directed the widely-popular movie ‘Your Name’, ‘Children who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below’ depicts a coming-of-age story involving young love and mystery. It was screened during two sessions: one in the afternoon for ITE College Central students, and one in the evening for the public. Both sessions were met with positive response. For the evening session, we also had Ang Mo Kio GRC’s cooperation in inviting families under a children’s home.

Before the film screening in the evening, the audience helped themselves to some light refreshments prepared by ITE College Central. For both sessions, after the screening, a quiz about anime was hosted and we were delightfully surprised at the amount of knowledge they all had about anime, and the lucky winners went home with exciting Japan and anime-related prizes prepared by JCC.
This is JCC first’s collaboration with ITE College Central and we look forward to more collaborations with them, so do stay tuned!
