JCC Cinema 93 x JFF: Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom

During the screening.
JCC Cinema 93 x Japanese Film Festival: Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom (PG13) was held at Woodlands Regional Library, one of the heartland areas of Singapore. Our Director Ms Kawabe Akiko welcomed the audience and introduced the mission and functions of JCC, including our annual JFF that has been running since 1983. Following which, Mr Xavier Lim from the library highlighted a collection of the books they have on Japanese language and culture, both physically and electronically.

This was the very first time for our JCC Cinema to collaborate with both the Japan Foundation and Singapore Film Society to bring back one of the films from our previous JFF programme onto the big screen due to popular demand. Besides enjoying the film, many audience members were able to know some of the Japanese-related and language learning books the library has and viewed the special mini exhibition by the Toy Photography Club of the National Library Board (NLB) that showcased iconic Japanese anime characters that many Singaporeans grew up with.
