On 2 February 2024, JCC welcomed Aoi Trio with a full house despite the rain! Founded in 2016 by Kyoko Ogawa (violin), Yu Ito (cello) and Kosuke Akimoto (piano), all of whom graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts and studied at the acclaimed Chamber Music Academy of Suntory Hall in Tokyo for 2 years, Aoi Trio enchanted the audience with timeless classical pieces including Mozart’s Piano Trio in B-flat major, K. 254 (Divertimento) and Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, op. 49 (First Movement), as well as solo pieces for each instrument.
They were in Singapore for the Singapore Chamber Music Festival 2024 that was held at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.
