A Creative Palette of Flavours ~ Introducing Shonai's Culinary Culture ~ was held successfully in 2 different sessions on 25 February 2023. JCC Director Mr. Toru Furugori gave a warm welcome to the participants for both sessions that garnered an attendance of more than 150 participants. After which, they learnt about the history and background of the Shonai region located in Yamagata prefecture that is blessed with natural resources and delicacies, as well as Japan’s first "UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy" Tsuruoka City, from presenter Ms. Tomoko Shiga. Participants sampled an assortment of Shonai cuisine, upcycled food products, and sake from participating breweries.
