A total of 8 members of the Singapore Chapter conducted live demonstrations of various styles of Ikenobo.
A one-day Ikenobo exhibition was held at JCC on 24 May 2025, in collaboration with Ikenobo Ikebana Society, Singapore Chapter. Twenty-four members of the Singapore Chapter showcased 3 different Ikenobo styles – rikka, shoka, and freestyle – in their beautiful Ikebana arrangements. A full house audience was also treated to an exclusive introduction and demonstration of Ikenobo Ikebana. Eight members of the Singapore Chapter conducted live demonstrations of the basic styles of Ikenobo and their variations. At the same time, the Singapore Chapter’s President Dr Leonard Lim provided insightful commentary, detailing the rich history and philosophy of Ikenobo Ikebana, and how it has evolved in modern times.

JCC is grateful to Dr Lim and the Singapore Chapter for this opportunity to offer a beautiful glimpse into the world of Ikenobo and the Japanese art of Ikebana.
