A last lecture and demonstration for the exhibition entitled, ‘Japanese Tea by Urasenke (Including English Tea, Teh Tarik and Chinese Tea)’ was held on Saturday, 7th May 2016. The members of Urasenke Singapore and Liu Xiang Tea Craft held their last tea sessions together at the centre, which saw a great number of guests keen in the history, tradition and etiquette of all four tea cultures.
A Japanese tea section was held at our Display Room 2, while an English tea and Chinese tea were held at our large Multi Purpose Hall. The Chinese tea along with Teh Tarik tea lecture and demonstration was held in intervals as it was conducted by the same lecturer, renowned Tea Master, Mr Lee Chee Keong. Ms Naomi Giaretta had once again explained and demonstrated English tea at JCC as well.

During all of the four intriguing events, guests were treated to specially crafted teas of different cultures as well as small bites. Table decors were beautifully arranged for each demonstration to reflect the spirit of the demonstrators. The lectures and demonstrations were followed by a question and answer session, where the audience had the opportunity to engage first-hand, with the Masters of tea. |
